KING’S ROAD C30 (174) REPLAY

Our picture opens to an explosion of pyro from the entrance stage as a clear shot looking down the entrance ramp comes into full focus. “Fox on the Run” plays throughout the T-Mobile Arena, as we are live from Las Vegas, Nevada. The fans here have filled out the T-Mobile Arena. They chant, and cheer, for a while as a camera catches different signs throughout the audience. You already know what this bit is, by now.

Slowly, the camera creeps down the entrance ramp, looking from left to right at the crowd in attendance and zooming in to various signs held throughout the packed crowd. Down at the announcers’ booth, we see Vinny Vassa and Steve Johnson sitting at ringside! They both look happy to be there, as we get right into the show.
JOHNSON: ”Folks, it’s a new year! 2019 brings to you the thirtieth chapter of King’s Road! I want to welcome you all to another show, and boy we have a big one in store for you!”
VASSA: ”Big is an understatement, we have HUGE matches tonight!”
JOHNSON: ”A TLC match to determine the new Tag Team Champions. An Internet title match! A big-ass eight man tag team match! Of course, this is all capped off by the King’s Road Championship.”
VASSA: ”The 2018 King’s Road Male Wrestler of the Year comes to Las Vegas to defend his crown, Stevie! I’m so fucking PUMPED!”
JOHNSON: ”Settle down, Vinny. Because Jett has to deal with the 2018 King’s Road WRESTLER of the Year. Yeah, that’s right folks Kaelan Laughlin was your MVP of 2018. Can she start 2019 off the right way?”
VASSA: ”It’s definitely going to be hard on her, Kaelan just battered herself in a brutal match against her husband at Winter Wasteland. That was a little over a week ago! The doctors might have cleared her, but boy is she in for a tough contest tonight.”
JOHNSON: ”No doubt about it, Jett has the complete edge against Kaelan tonight. He’s fresh, and he isn’t hurt. Things are looking mighty good for the King’s Road Champion.”
VASSA: ”We’ve got a huge section of Wet for Jett here in the crowd tonight, I don’t think he plans on letting his fans down.”
JOHNSON: ”Speaking of letting down, it seems that Hudson Hughes has some information for us before we start the show.”
VASSA: ”Yeah, unfortunately, it seems we’re not going to have an opening contest. Hudson hasn’t confirmed anything but he should be joining us here shortly.”
JOHNSON: ”Such an unfortunate turn of events, four members of the roster were given a chance to prove themselves tonight.”
VASSA: ”And yet, it seems that they have squandered their chance.”
JOHNSON: ”Vinny, if things are true about Hudson wanting to “clean things up”, who do you think should be fired from King’s Road?”
VASSA: ”You want me to be honest?”
JOHNSON: ”Absolutely!”
VASSA: ”That Dave fellow is pretty fucking annoying…”
There was supposed to be a “last chance ladder match” where one of the fresher faces in the promotion today was going to reach out and grab the brass ring. Right as the ring announcer was readying to kick off the show “Patriot” by CFO$ began to blare over the speakers as the fans immediately rained down boos towards the entrance as Hudson Hughes, 4CW Executive Vice President of Talent Relations, stepped out. He rolled his eyes heavily trying to put the microphone up to his mouth at the top of the entrance but the boos got louder. The crowd played this game with Hudson and as he grew frustrated he instead opted to walk down to the ring and storm up the steps. Wasting no time, he quickly hopped into the ring and asked for a microphone. Hudson seemed on edge, yelling at the ringside staff for a microphone as his first request seemed to go unanswered. A tech quickly hopped to work, as Hudson stared him down. Finally, with a microphone in hand, Hudson was able to speak and address the crowd.
HUGHES: ”So you’ll be quiet for someone whose job is to literally tell you what you already know if you have eyes, but you won’t give the guy who could shut this entire fucking show down a second of silence?”
He asked, they answered back with more boos. Now the type of this guy sucks boos, but the type of boos you’d get if you won the electoral college and not the popular vote.
HUGHES: ”Really? Fine.”
He walks over towards the ring ropes that are in the direction of the entrance and leans against them with his forearms putting the microphone up to his mouth as a devious smile grows.
HUGHES: ”Since you guys don’t care, and clearly the last chance competitors couldn’t bother to give a shit about their last chance? The opening bout for Chapter Thirty has been cancelled and all of the participants will no longer be participants in Kings Road. You’re all fired.”
Wow! More boos. Their noise escalates as people now begin to throw trash at the ring, which Hudson welcomes with his arms up in the air.
HUGHES: ”This is your own fault, every single last one of you that lets these lazy assholes think they can freeload off the 4CW name with minimum effort. 2019 is the year we cut the dead weight from this roster and prove to the world that we aren’t a CWC spin off. We are Kings Road. You are all welcome.”
Hudson drops the microphone and heads back up the ramp shrugging.
JOHNSON: ”Well there you have it, folks!”
VASSA: ”Four members of our roster, gone just like that! Did anyone give Hudson the Infinity Gauntlet? I feel like he’s looking to do a lot of damage here tonight.”
JOHNSON: ”Melody Marshall, Amar Rashad, Mitsu Shimada, and Darryl Walker are all GONE from King’s Road!”
VASSA: ”Eh, nothing really lost there.”
JOHNSON: ”Well, let’s go backstage because I think we have a new member of our roster ready to speak!”
VASSA: ”Hopefully this one can last a little longer than the others we just lost.”

We cut to the backstage area, where we see Olivia Wythe already dressed for her match tonight. She looks prepared, ready for the biggest match in her short career. On the same hand though, she looks absolutely terrified. Olivia draws in a deep breath, calming herself before she begins to speak. She closes her eyes, almost like she’s counting down in her head. A way to combat the nerves, possibly? Whatever it is though seems to work.
She slowly opens her eyes, as she begins to speak.
WYTHE: ”Y’all, I cannot believe that I’m here.”
Olivia smirks, chuckling to herself as she grabs onto her vest. A way to keep her hands busy, I suppose.
WYTHE: ”I knew stepping into 4CW would be a tough task. I knew that facing Brooklyn Light would be even tougher. It’s our debut here in this company, and already I’ve been tasked with facing a great talent. Former GCW Legacy Champion, multiple Force Pro Championships. Brooklyn Light absolutely knows what it takes to get the job done.”
Olivia stops, looking down at the ground for a moment.
WYTHE: ”I guess that’s why I’m here, to learn that. And if I’m going to learn, it’s going to be for the best. Maybe that gives me an edge. I’m not worried about wins or losses here. I’m only worried about doing the absolute best that I possibly can, every time I step into this ring. That means I go for broke, and I never hold back.”
Olivia looks up, with a grin.
WYTHE: ”Brooklyn, you’ve got hellfire coming your way in a hurry. I plan on giving you everything I got. It’s time to put myself up to the test. Let’s just see how I handle it.”
With that, we cut away to ringside for our actual opening contest of the evening.

OPENING MATCH
OLIVIA WYTHE VS. BROOKLYN LIGHT

With both competitors in the ring, they take a moment to size each other up. Brooklyn and Olivia square up in the middle, locking up. Olivia tries to get the advantage, but Brooklyn slowly works her way into a side headlock. A toss to the ropes leads to a Japanese Arm Drag, followed by a Springboard Dropkick to Brooklyn. Brooklyn doesn’t take long being on the other end of it though, as she works right back into taking control. Side headlocks working into a wrist lock, she finally gets control of Olivia. Olivia looks to break out, but Brooklyn keeps her grounded. Brooklyn connects with a Back Elbow that knocks Olivia out to the outside! Olivia tries to recover, but Brooklyn drags her back into the ring and connects with a Pumphandle Gutbuster! The crowd is super excited to see Brooklyn Light standing in a 4CW ring, she uses that energy to her advantage as she continues to beat down the rookie. Olivia takes a thrashing, as Brooklyn stomps away at her in the corner. Brooklyn takes a few steps back, charging towards Olivia. Unfortunately for Brooklyn she isn’t able to connect with a Splash, as Olivia ducks out of the way. Olivia charges to the ropes, rebounding as she connects with a brutal Clothesline that turns Brooklyn inside-out!
The crowd is certainly impressed with the strength displayed by Olivia, but she keeps her focus on the match. Olivia picks Brooklyn up, tossing her to the outside. The two brawl on the outside for a moment, with Olivia getting the advantage in the showcase. Brooklyn almost takes a spill into the steel steps, after Olivia tosses her that way. She’s able to stop herself, and catch Olivia with a DDT on the outside! With Olivia finally down, Brooklyn can rest as she tosses Olivia back into the ring. Brooklyn tries several pin attempts, but Olivia is able to kick out of each one. She controls the pacing, keeping Olivia pinned to the mat with several headlocks. A Fireman’s Carry to Flapjack catches Olivia by surprise, as Brooklyn tries again with another pin. Brooklyn continues to control the pacing of the match, working over Olivia more and more. It becomes slow, as Olivia looks for a way to get back in control. Brooklyn attempts a Boston Crab, but Olivia is able to power out of it! Olivia flips Brooklyn over, as she finally gets back up to her feet. Brooklyn soon follows, charging with a Forearm attack that Olivia is able to duck. Olivia instead connects with a Forearm Smash of her own, following that up with an Arm Trap STO!

KICKOUT!!!

Thankfully, Brooklyn still has quite the fight left in her. Olivia uses her strength to keep Brooklyn down on the mat, wearing her out with a Rear Chinlock. Her knee is dug into the upper back of Brooklyn, taking her breath away. Olivia continues to work the Chinlock, doing whatever she can to keep Brooklyn grounded. By now the crowd is completely behind Brooklyn, chanting for her as they try to get her back into the contest. Olivia lets go of the hold, and connects with a brutal stomp to the back of Brooklyn Light! Brooklyn tries getting back up, but Olivia is waiting for her as she lifts her up into a Gorilla Press! It’s an impressive sight, as Olivia is able to keep Brooklyn above her head for a good while. Olivia finally drives Brooklyn into the mat with a Slam, but Brooklyn is again able to kick out of the pin attempt. Olivia pushes Brooklyn back into the corner, working her over. She tries for a Superplex, but Brooklyn Light fights back. She knocks Olivia down, back down to the mat. Brooklyn connects with a Missile Dropkick, putting Olivia in a daze!
Brooklyn looks to take over the match, grabbing Olivia and connecting with a beautiful Tiger Suplex! She goes for the Hank Henshaw Haymaker, but Olivia is able to move out of the way! Olivia blasts her with a Short-Arm Clothesline, punishing Brooklyn and dropping her to the mat. Olivia tries to get her up to her feet, but she’s looking a bit tired from the match. The brutality has begun to take a toll on her, and this early into her career she hasn’t faced anyone like Brooklyn yet. Brooklyn is able to get up, egging on Olivia as she coaxes her towards the middle of the ring. The two meet in the middle as they begin to trade shots. Forearm shots delivered between the two, as Brooklyn tries to wrap Olivia up for a Suplex. Olivia switches her stance, getting behind Brooklyn as she tries for a Saito Suplex! Brooklyn blocks the attempt, hitting Olivia with a Lifting High Knee! Olivia tries shaking it off, as she connects with a punch! Brooklyn eats the right hand, as she asks for another. Olivia tosses out another right, but Brooklyn catches her with a counter hook! Olivia is staggered, allowing Brooklyn to connect with another shot as she tosses Olivia towards the corner. Brooklyn catches Olivia with a Running Knee, using that to follow up with a Bulldog out of the corner! It’s Five Moves of Doom time, as Brooklyn has set herself up nicely for this match to end! Olivia staggers back up, unaware that Brooklyn is waiting for her as she does. She can only look on as Brooklyn leaps forward, catching Olivia with Hope Rides Alone!

The cameras go backstage where Johnny Amazing is found standing before his open locker in the men’s locker room. He’s already dressed for his Eight-Man Tag Team Match later tonight. The mirror hanging on the inside of his locker door catches his eyes for just a moment, but he looks away.
AMAZING:”I’m back in the ring here in King’s Road. And honestly… I don’t deserve it.”
He forces himself to look in the mirror, staring into his own eyes. His expression is blank.
AMAZING:”I’ve spent the better part of 2018 functioning on some type of auto-pilot. Going out there and wrestling matches just like some guy. Not like me. Not like an Amazing guy.”

BANG!

Johnny slams his locker door shut with a sigh. He turns his attention away from the row of lockers and looks directly into the camera.
AMAZING:”I don’t know what’s gotten into me. Or… left me, rather. All I know is that I’m not the same guy that I used to be. I’m not where I want to be in this business anymore and that’s tough for me.”
He steps over the bench and hesitates a moment before choosing to take a seat. His head hangs in shame and disappointment, shaking just slightly.
AMAZING:”When I entered this business back in 2014… well, that’s when I signed my first professional contract. Before that it was endless low-paying jobs, if they even paid at all, and I was just having fun honing my craft. When I signed that contract in 2014 this all became real. It became something I had to succeed at otherwise my life was for nothing. All those years spent training and giving up friends and time with my family just to get into this business…”
Letting out a heavy sigh, he shakes his head again at the memories of time lost. The fun in the ring was something he looked back on fondly, but the stuff he missed for it would always be the black mark that plagued him.
AMAZING:”It all would have been for nothing if I had been a failure. So I pushed and I continued to struggle through every setback. I became a grand slam champion in the very first company I signed with officially. I had made it to the peak of the mountain and I couldn’t have been happier with my life.”
He falls into silence, his mind resting comfortably in the memory of his life when everything was perfect in his career. After a moment, the contentment on his face fades and he forces himself to stand up.
AMAZING:”But it didn’t last. I left that company with a bitter taste in my mouth over things that I don’t care to get into. I moved on because that’s what was best for me. But I wasn’t ready to start back at the bottom. I hated the feeling of being a nobody again. The frustration that comes with climbing through adversity and setbacks.”
Johnny huffs a laugh that lacks any semblance of humor behind it.
AMAZING:”To the point that I became my own setback. I stopped myself from getting anywhere in this business by becoming complacent. Lazy. But that stops tonight. Tonight I’m one of eight men that will be in that ring and I’m going to do everything I can to make sure that I’m the ONE that everyone remembers. I’m going to be the ONE that everyone is talking about after. And I’m going to be the ONE who becomes a champion here in King’s Road this year.”
He smirks and winks into the camera before heading off to prepare for his match.

BRYAN FORD VS. JEREMY WARREN

The lights begin to flicker as “DNA” by Kendrick Lamar blares over the speakers. Bryan Ford comes walking out onto the stage a certain swagger in his steps as he twirls a microphone in his hand.
FORD: ”Ladies and Gentlemen… and for those of you living under a rock… allow me to introduce myself. I AM THE MOST CHARISMATIC MAN IN KING’S ROAD! MR. 24/7! THE INNOVATOR OF GREATNESS! BRYAN FORD!”
He grins smugly as he makes his way down and into the ring. He climbs up a turnbuckle and sits at the very top looking around at the fans.
FORD: ”And welcome to the Bryan Ford Show! You see… my mere presence here has upped the ratings about One Hundred and Ten percent. I have been signed because this particular show has been lacking… well… star power. And consider me the sun cuz I’m the brightest star you’re gonna see all night baybay! Now I’m sure you’ve got some decent talent around here and that’s fine and dandy for now. But I came here for one… AND I REPEAT… ONE! Reason… to face the best.. to beat the best.. and to capture gold to prove once again to a different company that I am better than your best. Now without further adieu… bring out my opponent because I guarantee this match will be the highlight of HIS career!”
Ford hops down tossing the mic and removes his jacket, as the match begins.
Jeremy and Bryan start off with a couple elbow-collar tie-ups, but they don’t go anywhere as the two of them try to display their dominance over the other. The third elbow collar was ducked and Bryan threw Jeremy off the ropes and hit him with a dropkick and moonsault for a quick near fall. Jeremy pounded the mat in frustration, but he should have been paying more attention because got caught with the bicycle knee and a follow-up knee strike to go with it. It wasn’t until Ford tried to add insult to injury with a middle finger that Jeremy took his head off with a European uppercut. Bryan stumbled off the ropes and Jeremy lifted him with a hip toss into a neckbreaker for a near fall of his own. Bryan was pissed, Jeremy was eating up the comeback crowd heat. Bryan went after Jeremy who ducked and locked Bryan into a sleeper hold, a fitting name because Jeremy put the crowd to sleep with whatever pop he was getting before by holding onto the sleeper hold for minutes. The strategy is wise, trying to ground the high flying non stop action of Bryan Ford – a strategy that paid off for a bit until Ford got back to his feet and charged a corner before ducking down and sending Jeremy face first into the turnbuckle. Enziguri from Ford followed up with another bicycle knee! Warren stumbles and Ford is off the ropes looking for the bicycle kick finish BFORD AND AFT-NO! Jeremy ducks it 3 ALARM! JEREMY HITS THE SPINNING SPINEBUSTER! BUT ONLY GETS A NEAR FALL! He’s got the crowd back though and he’s feeding off of their energy, Ford is shaking the cobwebs out and gets hit with a superkick from Warren! Jeremy lifts Ford up to his shoulders into the fireman’s carry. He spins him into the cu-NO! Ford falls to his feet! He gets a running head start off the ropes and Warren swings a wild lariat at him missing! Ford is off the ropes on the other side picking up massive speed and BFORD AND AFTER BICYCLE KICK! DID JEREMY LOSE A TOOTH!?! Bryan Ford gets the pinfall and the victory.
Winners: Bryan Ford via Pinfall (06:27)

A hop, skip and a jump takes us backstage to Lisa Seldon. As she meets us she’s currently wrapping her hands, because evidently there aren’t enough hours in the day.
SELDON: “I have not done enough.”
It is an auspicious beginning as she briefly turns away from us, wandering like a cat in her enclosure, moving endlessly but going nowhere in particular.
SELDON: “I came to King’s Road because I’d always had a good time on their shows, but since I’ve turned up that’s all I’ve done. I put Trevor Miller out to pasture, I made that little space nerd cry about his freakish little hands, dicked around in the tag division. Where did it get me? What was the point? I finished up the year with a handful of awards. One of them was for Breakout Star of the year. Why? What did I do to deserve that?”
She throws up a shrug as she continues her trip ‘round the room.
SELDON: “I have been coasting on the fame I built up elsewhere, and that’s not a good look for someone who thinks they should be a contender.”
A little shake of the head.
SELDON: “I have been given another big opportunity in King’s Road. It’s a slim one. I’m teaming again with Kenny, who I don’t think I’ve ever won a match with, against two people who have probably at least had a conversation one time. Then there’s those annoying little Conglomerate boys who nobody else knows exists because they don’t actually do anything of merit; but again at least they have some form of chemistry, and a few wins to back that up.”
Lisa applies the last of the tape to back of her wrist and then snaps it off.
SELDON: “We are statistical rank outsiders, just here to do some wacky shit with ladders and beef up the numbers. We have no right to win and that does not sit right with me. I have worked too hard, given too much of myself to this sport, gone too far to be an also ran here or anywhere in the world. I’m a contender, I’m a champion and also Kenny Lovett is too nice a guy to keep winding up with nothing.”
Lisa pauses, cracking her knuckles hand in hand.
SELDON: “King’s Road, I have not done enough for you. That has to change.”
She doesn’t waste time, takes a step off the shot and leaves us there.

Ana falls to the mat, as Chad sets up the ladder in the middle of the ring. Lisa tells Kenny to get into the ring, he quickly rushes in and takes Brad down with a DDT. Kenny connects with a Superkick to Chad, knocking him back out of the ring! Kenny attempts to climb the ladder, as Lisa gets into the ring. Brad quickly gets back up, but Lisa ducks a Clothesline attempt from him. She connects with a Sitout Jawbreaker, taking him out for the moment. The move sends Ana directly into Kenny, who takes her down with a Reverse STO! Tommy rolls back into the ring, and charges towards the two. Lisa Seldon sees this, and shoves Kenny out of the way. She takes all of the clothesline, being dumped to the mat as Chad and Brad get back into the match. Kenny, now in the corner, ducks a charge between Chad and Brad. Brad is next, taking a brutal shot from the ladder! Lisa gets up, and she eats a shot from the ladder, as does Kenny! Tommy spins around for another moment, the crowd loving it as he places the ladder back down. He looks a bit loopy, but thankfully Ana is up and able to help him. They go to the outside, Ana helping Tommy set up a double stack of tables on the outside of the ring. It seems that not everybody is staying down, as Lisa and Kenny rise up to set up another ladder. Two ladders in the middle of the ring, both Lisa and Kenny begin to climb when Brad and Chad start to stir. Brad and Chad both hop on the opposite ladder, as Lisa and Kenny begin to fight them both. Both teams are trying to grab the titles hanging above them, but neither seem to be in a good place to do it. He looks on, confused and a bit hurt. Lisa walks away, leaving the ring as she moves forward towards the locker room.
Brad and Chad Garrison are up to their feet, limping their way to the back. They look on at Tommy and Ana, vowing that this isn’t over between the two of them.

We cut to the backstage area, where we see Angelo Sands in front of a whiteboard. He seems to have written just an absolute bunch of nonsense on the board as he stares at it, tapping his chin. A few seconds pass before Gabe Hartman clears his throat as he enters the shot, forcing Angelo to slightly flinch before he turns to Gabe.
SANDS: ”Dude, don’t sneak up on me like that. I’m trying to study my opponent before the match. Willie Lyons.”
Yes, Angelo did indeed pronounce ‘Lyons’ like DJ Khaled pronounces ‘lion’.
HARTMAN: ”Angelo, your match starts in like five minutes.”
SANDS: ”Yeah, and I’m cramming for the damn thing like I’m back at UNC. Granted, I only crammed because I got roped into a beer pong league that was like super exclusive back then but whatever. I still had to cram.”
HARTMAN: ”Oh, you went to North Carolina? For what?”
SANDS: ”Doesn’t matter, never finished.”
Hartman gives Sands an “are you serious?” look before shaking his head.
HARTMAN: ”So if cramming didn’t work back then, what makes you think it’ll work now?”
SANDS: ”Well, I didn’t know what else to do. This is my first singles match. It’s the legitimate start of my singles career. I gotta find a way to assure myself that tonight? I’m walking out with my first singles W of my singles career.”
Angelo continues to stare at his board while Gabe seems to just want to get this interview over with as he looks at the board as well before posing a question.
HARTMAN: ”This board makes no sense to me. Can you tell me what some of this means?”
SANDS: ”Yeah, absolutely.”
Sands points to the middle of the boards, to the phrase “ABSOLUTE UNIT” that’s written in red marker.
SANDS: ”So this is to remind me that Will Lyons is indeed AN ABSOLUTE UNIT. He’s big. He’s kinda fast. Not as fast as me, but kinda fast. And oh, did I mention he’s like a billion feet tall and like a billion pounds?”
The Italian-American then follows the red line connected to “ABSOLUTE UNIT” all the way to something written in the upper right corner of the board; “BEAK”.
SANDS: ”His girlfriend/manager may prove to be a factor in this match.”
He then motions to the words “THE KNEES”.
SANDS: ”As an ABSOLUTE UNIT, your knees usually don’t enjoy the weight that you put among them. I assume his knees are screaming more than Derrick Rose’s will at the end of the season after Thibs is done playing him 40 minutes per game. I gotta target the knees tonight, buddy boy.”
Finally, he points to a stick figure drawing of himself with his arm raised.
SANDS: ”If this game plan goes down the way I want it to, then I should be walking out the winner. If not, well…then I’m fucked, aren’t I?”

Sands lets out a nervous chuckle before he walks away, leaving Hartman to view the board before shaking his head and looking back at the camera.
HARTMAN: ”Angelo Sands, everybody.”

ANGELO SANDS VS. WILLIAM LYONS

Angelo looked unsettled as he stared across the ring from him and saw the massive Will Lyons. When the bell rang Angelo ran at him and hit him with nearly every damn strike you could imagine. Kicks, forearms, a jumping uppercut, a pele kick, leg kicks. Will palmed his face and headbutt him and put his foot on his chest for the near fall. Will laughed and asked the fans if this is the man they think can beat him. He waited across the ring for Angelo to shake out the cobwebs and nearly squashed him in the corner with a splash. Will laughed as he propped Angelo back up and decimated him again. Will backed the referee into another corner and told him to end the match now because this is going to get ugly. Angelo can barely catch his breath as he crawls around on the canvas using the ropes to get up. Will warns the referee that this is his last chance before he kills Angelo. The referee asks Angelo if he wants to give up and Angelo shakes his head. Will informs him that it will be his funeral then as he takes across the ring looking for a spea-NO! ANGELO JUMPS OVER! Will hits the corner shoulder first! Angelo tries to recover and charges Will hitting knee lifts and chop to Will in the corner but Will shoves him across the ring and charges with a YAKUZA KI-NO! ANGELO DUCKS THAT AS WELL! Will gets caught in the ropes and racks his little Will Lyons on the top rope! Angelo gets to the nearest turnbuckle and dives off with a crossbody taking both of them outside. Angelo doesn’t stop tho he tries to lock in a submission on Will, but he keeps shoving him off and even throws Angelo into the ring post! With Will trying to recover he notices Angello getting to his feet and charges him looking for a massive laria-NO! OH MY GOD! WIll swung and hit the ring post! Angelo ducked at the very last second! He’s screaming out in pain holding onto his arm and Angelo takes advantage of it as the referee count gets to SIX! Angelo slams Will’s arm against the ring post outside and then the steps before rolling him in. He tries to chase Will down with a grapevine ankle lock but Will kicks him off and across the ring. Will is still holding onto his arm and trying to fight Angelo off with out it. Angelo seems to be gaining confidence ad he ducks the striking attempts of Will and hits forearms to the bad wing of Will. Angelo uses the ropes for momentum on a massive superman forearm that backs Will into the corner. Angelo is on fire now as he sprints towards the opposite corner and leaps into Will with a European uppercut! The fans are counting them off each time Angelo goes back for another. He’s on his fourth when Will traps him into a GOD DAMNED ONE ARM NEAR NAKED CHOKE! ANGELO CANT BELIEVE IT! HES FLAILING! But Will LETS GO?!? He couldn’t hold him up any longer. As Angelo recovers Will creates chops the god damn life from Angelo and he crumbles into the ofner allowing Will to create separation. Angelo stumbles out of the corner and directly into a spe-NO! We cut to the backstage area where we see Hudson Hughes, watching the previous match on a monitor. He looks frustrated, disappointed by what we’ve just seen. He throws down the remote, letting out a heavy sigh.
HUGHES: ”Another fucking LOSER who can’t make good of an opportunity we’ve given him. DAVE?! Where ARE YOU?!!”
From the corner we see Dave, a Red Vine dangling from his mouth.
DAVE: ”Yo, what up?”
HUGHES: ”I need you to do something for me.”
Hudson looks exhausted, as Dave looks on.
DAVE: ”If it’s that one thing, don’t worry about it. Already set up and taken care of. Just need you to-”
Hudson cuts him off.
HUGHES: ”No, moron, not that. Bring up Lyon’s contract, he’s done here!”
Dave looks a bit shocked, covering up his mouth as he finishes his Red Vine.
DAVE: ”Yoooo, for real? Ay, bet, I can grab that contract for you. Place was getting crowded anyway, this bigass tournament brough some new blood in. Say, while I’m here…”
Dave looks over to Hudson, who doesn’t really want to talk about important matters at this time.
HUGHES: ”What?”
DAVE: ”This Openweight tournament, we got anybody official for it yet?”
Another sigh from Hudson, as he turns to Dave. Hudson quickly snaps at him.
HUGHES: ”Dave, I swear to god. Not right NOW! Tweet that shit later, I don’t care! I have more important shit to do!”
And with that Hudson bumps Dave, as he walks out of frame. Dave, content with his answer, goes back to eating Red Vines as we cut back to ringside for our next match.

TRUCK TURNER, JOHNNY AMAZING, ASTRO CLYDE & JASON MENTEZ VS. NORIS CRANLEY, GREGG PEAKE, CHERRY LOVEJOY & AOKIGAHARA ZOMBIE

The Las Vegas crowd is excited, the arena feels like the roof is about to blow off as the bell rings. Gregg Peake smiles, as he locks up with Truck Turner in the middle of the ring. Truck quickly gets the advantage over Gregg Peake, putting him into a side headlock. Gregg Peake pushes his forearms into Truck’s face, using his right leg to put Truck down onto one knee. Gregg Peake easily slips out of the side headlock, and puts Truck into one of his own! Truck Turner gets back to his feet, and shoves Gregg Peake to the ropes. Gregg Peake bounces back, catching Truck Turner with a shoulder tackle that levels him. Gregg Peake quickly poses over Truck, who bounces up to his feet and runs the ropes. Gregg Peake leaps over his opponent, but Truck rebounds and knocks Gregg Peake down with a shoulder tackle! It’s Truck who poses next, saying that Gregg looks very “weak”. The crowd seems to appreciate Truck’s antics as the match continues on.
Eventually the two are pitted against each other in a Test of Strength. Truck Turner seems to have the advantage at first, pushing down on Gregg Peake who has to get close to the mat to keep his leverage. Suddenly, Gregg Peake seems to amass a huge amount of strength out of nowhere as he begins to turn the tables! Truck Turner suddenly starts to get pushed towards the mat, lower and lower he goes until his shoulders are touching the canvas! The official quickly makes the move to count the pin, but Truck Turner frees his left hand and swings his foot over to his other hand. He breaks the hold, and kips up to his feet, much to the crowd’s delightment! Both men stand there, a quick nod and they both tag out! Aokigahara Zombie and Jason Mentez enter the ring, carefully sizing each other up. The two quickly strike out, as Jason seems to get the better of Aoki! Aokigahara Zombie takes a step backwards, and levels Jason with a front dropkick! Zombie quickly gets to his feet, as does Jason, Zombie grabs him off the mat and throws him to the corner. He charges forward, but Jason stops and uses the turnbuckle to hop over Aokigahara Zombie! Jason wraps Zombie up, and throws him over for a German Suplex! Zombie flips out of the attempt, landing on his feet! Jason turns around, and easily ducks under the clothesline attempt. Jason tries a leaping enziguri attempt, but Aokigahara Zombie blocks it. Both men stand there, in a fighting position as the Las Vegas crowd shows their appreciation for this display. Jason looks to make a move, but Zombie charges him and drives him into his team’s corner! Trapped in the corner, Jason can only watch as Zombie tags in Cherry Lovejoy! The two team members grab Mentez, hoisting him high up into the air with a Double Spinebuster! Slamming Jason to the mat with authority, Cherry Lovejoy quickly covers Jason as the official drops down to the make the count.
Jason Mentez easily kicks out, but is quickly locked into a side headlock by Cherry Lovejoy. Jason forces himself up, getting back to his feet. He drives a few elbows into the ribs of Cherry, trying to escape her grasp. He runs forward, but Cherry grabs him and pulls him back into a side headlock. Astro calls out to his teammate, almost looking like he’s going to give him motivation. Instead he asks Jason if his hands look okay, they appear to be stapled onto his ring attire this time. Jason rolls his eyes, as he delivers another elbow, quickly wrapping his opponent up and driving her into the mat with a snap back suplex! Truck Turner reaches his hand out, but Jason rushes to his corner and tags in Johnny Amazing instead! Cherry gets up to her feet, holding the back of her head, Amazing charges at her with a Running Bicycle Kick but Cherry gets out of the way! Amazing turns around, and is leveled with a stiff Lariat from Cherry Lovejoy! Amazing quickly pops back up, but Cherry is right there waiting for him, she drills Johnny Amazing into the mat with a crisp neckbreaker! She uses this time to get to her corner, tagging in Noris Cranley! Cranley charges in, leveling Amazing with a clothesline! He follows up with another clothesline, knocking Johnny Amazing down! Noris Cranley is looking good in the ring, as he takes control of the match for his team. He uses an Armlock to keep Johnny grounded, but that only results in Johnny connecting with a Brainbuster! Noris rolls to his corner as Cherry Lovejoy tags herself back in, she stares down Noris Cranley as he heads back to the apron. Cherry shoots in for a Collar-and-Elbow tie up but Amazing quickly gets her into a wristlock, he twists her right arm around into a hammerlock. Cherry grabs Johnny’s head, pulling him into a snapmare takedown. Johnny gets back up, but Lovejoy dropkicks him causing him to fall to the outside! Johnny tumbles, falling to the floor, he quickly gets back to his feet to see Lovejoy flying through the ropes! The suicide dive connects, both Amazing and Lovejoy crashing to the floor!
With the two members on the outside, their teammates quickly converge on their position! It becomes an all out brawl! Gregg Peake grabs Amazing, tossing him into the steel steps, as Mentez takes down Zombie with a Leaping Forearm Shot! Noris Cranley tries to help Lovejoy up, but Truck Turner charges in and takes him down with a forearm shot to the back. He stomps away at Cranley, as Cherry Lovejoy gets to her feet. She helps Noris attack Truck, as they both pick up Truck, lifting him up and slamming him into the apron back first! The official tries to keep the peace, but its complete anarchy on the outside! Gregg Peake joins Lovejoy and Cranley, as they beat down Clyde and Truck on the outside! Jason Mentez quickly joins in, evening the odds as the six members all go at it in a massive pile up. Suddenly, the crowd picks up with excitement, the camera pans to Aokigahara Zombie standing on the turnbuckle closest to this mayhem. He leaps off, connecting with a beautiful Senton Splash on the group! The crowd quickly stops their chant, as they see Johnny Amazing in the ring. Their excitement begins to build, as Amazing charges to the ropes. He rebounds, running to the other side, as he uses the middle rope as a springboard! AMAZING COLLIDES WITH THE OTHER MEMBERS, EVERYONE FALLING TO THE FLOOR AS HE CONNECTS WITH A SPRINGBOARD STAR PRESS!
There is a long time before anybody starts moving on the outside of the ring. The official begins to make his count soon after. Finally, all eight participants finally start to move, getting back up to their feet, they get back to their corners as Cherry Lovejoy and Johnny Amazing get back into the ring. Cherry tries to whip Johnny back into his corner, but Johnny doesn’t budge. She tries again, but Johnny pulls her into a back elbow! With Cherry stunned, Johnny levels her with another spinning back elbow. He quickly races to his corner, tagging Jason Mentez back into the match. He grabs Lovejoy, planting her in the middle of the ring with a DDT, quickly scaling the nearby corner to drop a devastating leg drop from the second rope! Lovejoy’s teammates try to will her on, but Mentez keeps her as far away as possible. He drags him over to his own corner, Truck Turner reaches out for a tag but Mentez tags in Astro Clyde instead. Clyde jumps over the top rope, landing with a nice stomp to the chest of Cherry Lovejoy. A Belly to Belly Suplex quickly puts an end to that, as Astro is planted into the ring by Cherry! Cherry shakes her head, unsure of what she’s looking at as Astro tries to get back up. His giant hands are again falling off, dangling comedically off of his ring attire now. Astro screams in pain, but he’s not really hurt. Cherry doesn’t fall for it, connecting with a Codebreaker as Astro falls to the mat! She’s quick to cover him, as the official drops down to make the count!

TRUCK TURNER BREAKS UP THE PIN!!!

Cherry and Astro begin to stir, heading back to their corners to tag out. Jason and Gregg are tagged back in. Neither man looks to get the better of each other, each shot being given right back to the other person. Jason backs Gregg Peake up with a quick knee to his midsection, but Gregg Peake responds instead with a flurry of European Uppercuts! He drives Jason back into his corner, beating him down with vicious forearm shots to the back of his neck. Gregg Peake tags Aokigahara Zombie back into this match, hops over and nearly decapitates Jason with a clothesline in the corner! Jason Mentez falls to the ground, Zombie using his boot to choke the life away from Jason Mentez. He quickly lets go though, opting instead to hoist Jason up onto the top turnbuckle. Seated, Jason watches as Zombie scales up the ropes. Jason starts to fight back, punching away at Zombie until he falls back down to the mat. Jason leaps over him, rolling into position behind Zombie. Zombie quickly runs back to the corner, as Jason charges him, he catches Mentez after springing off of the second turnbuckle into a Thunder Fire Powerbomb! Both men are down, as their teams call for them to get back to their corner. Slow to rise, Mentez and Zombie tag out at the same time. Truck Turner is finally back into the ring, as Noris Cranley makes his way after being tagged in. Truck charges forward, knocking Cranley down with a harsh Clothesline! A Shoulder Tackle, and a Gorilla Press Slam quickly put Noris down for the count. With his opponent stunned Truck is able to connect with Hardbody Karate, putting Noris down on his ass! Gregg Peake and Aoki quickly get involved, but Jason and Astro are right there to stop them! They all fall to the outside, as Cherry Lovejoy sneaks into the ring. With the ref distracted, she gets behind Truck and nails him with a low blow! However, it doesn’t seem to have any effect on him? Very strange, Truck just turns and ROARS at Cherry as she fucking books it out of the ring. However, it is enough time for Noris to catch Truck as he turns around with the RESET! The crowd cannot believe it, as Truck Turner is motionless inside of the ring. Noris doesn’t have much time to celebrate, as Johnny Amazing catches him with a Blank Point! The kick lands square, knocking Noris down as Johnny dumps Truck on top of his opponent. Johnny rushes over, leaping over the TOP ROPE as he takes out everyone on the outside! With the official back into the match, he quickly makes his way over as Truck is pinning Noris!

We cut back to the backstage area where we see Gabriel Hartman! Our homeless interviewer is all by himself tonight. Looking again like he has some important information for us all. Gabe straightens out his “tie”, which just seems to be a plastic bag tied around his neck.
HARTMAN: ”Hey folks, Hartman here! Just here to fill out some time since nobody else signed up for a segment.”
Awkward pause.
HARTMAN: ”Anyway, have some important news for you all. It seems that Damien Miri was set to be here tonight, but it doesn’t seem like he’s made it. Unsure if Damien is hurt or not, but the leader of The Conglomerate is nowhere to be found. That means Lauryn Wolfe is doing this all alone tonight, against Graham Gosch.”
Another awkward pause.
HARTMAN: ”Oh, right, I’m not reporting to anyone right now.”
Gabe lets out a chuckle, as he continues to speak.
HARTMAN: ”A bit of other information for you all! It seems the Openweight Tournament will not collide with Chapter Thirty-Five, as there will only be eight contestants to crown the new champion! So exciting, hopefully we get some news about that in the coming days! Well, that’s it for me! Go back to ringside, I think we’ve got a match coming up!”
Gabriel stands there, looking at the camera as nothing happens.
He continues to stand there, awkwardly, as the camera does not cut away to ringside. Gabe tries his best to maintain a professional composure, looking away from the camera for any sign that it has cut. When that doesn’t happen, he looks to speak up about it. Just as he does though the camera finally cuts away to the ringside area.

LOGAN TRAEGER VS. EDDY POE

To say Logan wasn’t amused by Ed is an understatement. Logan hates Ed. From his entrance, to his face paint, Right down to his existence. He hates Eddy Poe. Logan rushed Ed at the bell and worked him over in the corner before smearing his face paint into his eyes to impair his vision before hip tossing him into a back breaker on his knee. Logan took the advantage from there for a while after jumping up and hitting a massive elbow drop for a near fall and locking in a headlock. Ed tried to fight the headlock off but was met with a jumping knee for his effort. Logan tried a quick pinfall again but Ed kicked out. Logan’s wife clapped at ringside as he winked at her occasionally, making sure not to lose focus. Logan used the ropes again for momentum and charged Ed, but Ed chopped him into a stunned stance as Ed now charged Loga-NO! SPINEBUSTER! Logan was playing possum! But STILL only a near fall! Logan tries not to get too frustrated as Eddy rolls out of the ring to recover. Logan follows him outside and grabs E-OH! ED THROWS LOGAN into the steel steps after an elbow to his abdomen! Ed drops to a knee to recover before charging Logan next to the steps and sandwiching his head using his hips! Logan is down and trying to come to and snap out of it while his wife Natalie cheers him on at ringside. Eddy turns to her and gives a sick smile as she stops cheering and snarls at him. Ed rolls Logan into the ring for a near fall count before mounting Logan and unleashing vicious closed fist punches. The referee warns Ed, but he stretches the limits of that warning pummeling Logan until he decides its enough.
Eddy stands up and lets out a death metal scream beating his chest, the crowd couldn’t care less. They aren’t big fans of the debuting Eddy Poe, but Eddy isn’t here to be their friends. He heads back over towards Loga-CRADLE PINF- NO! Eddy kicks out but Logan grabs him and spins around before quickly planting him with a spinebuster for ANOTHER near fall. Logan now mounts Eddy and begins to beat on him until the referee tells him enough is enough and breaks it up. Eddy crawls to the outside again where h tries to recover but Logan hits a baseball slide kick to Ed that sends him into the barrier. Logan lifts Ed by the hair an-NO! EDDY charges Logan and slams his back against the apron! Eddy now pulls the ring skirt down and traps Logan between it and the apron before hammering away at Logan. Natalie tries to object from the front seat but Eddy turns directly towards her and warns her to stop before turning back towards her husband and rolling him into the ring Logan tries to roll to the other side but gets hit with a running senton for a near fall. Eddy then waits for Logan in the corner calling for his claymore kick and as Logan gets to his feet Eddy charges out of the corner and MISSES THE KICK! LOGAN DUCKS IT! Poe gets an elbow from Logan before he lifts Poe up and hits a deadlift German Suplex! Logan tries to cover Eddy but he only gets two! Logan waits for Poe to get up and as Eddy turns around Logan drags his thumb across his throat to tell Poe this is over and Poe nods his head smiling which throws Logan off but he kicks Eddy in the gut and lifts him into a military press before dropping him into an exploder suplex! Logan is exhausted and trying to crawl to Poe for the pinfal-WOAH! WHAT THE FUCK!? POE JUST POPPED UP IN A BACKBRIDGE AND HE’S CRAWLING TOWARDS LOGAN!! Logan leaves the ring and Poe smiles meeting him outside. Poe does the thumb across the throat taunt this time but towards the end of it he realizes he’s next to Natalie sitting front row and Poe turns and looks at her which sends Logan into a rage. Logan irrationally charge Eddy who pretends to not see Logan MACHETE CHOP! SPINNING BACKFIST! Logan is stunned! Eddy rolls him into the ring and Logan is trying to get to two fee- AXE KICK FROM POE! HE GETS THE PINFALL!
Winner: Eddy Poe via Pinfall (10:41)

Backstage, the current reigning and defending Internet champion Lauryn Wolfe can be seen pacing back and forth. She takes a deep breath in and exhales, moving her arms about while the prized title is strapped to her waist. Whether it was the adrenaline coursing through her veins, anxiety or the combination of the two, she couldn’t stop pacing; even as she began to speak.
WOLFE: “This is it. This is the moment that I’ve waited for… and this is the moment Graham has been waiting for as well. Ever since he stuck his nose in where it doesn’t belong he’s made it clear that he wants to take this title away from me. He’s done everything he could to get inside my head and take me off my guard. And you know what? He’s been successful every chance he get. He picked Will out as my opponent and he beat me. The tag team match with him and Graham? Won that one as well.”
She shakes her head and huffs.
WOLFE: “And honestly? I’m sick of this bullshit. I never came back just so that I could get my ass handed to me. I haven’t been the best champion. I haven’t been at the top of my game lately. It seems as if this reign is just destined to be cursed for me; another flavor of the month champ who was all hype but no delivery. I never thought I’d reach this kind of low, but here I am with my back pressed against the wall. This is very much a do or die situation for me, and that’s no exaggeration.”
WOLFE: “To a lot of people, this is like a mercy killing to me. Graham is cunning as he is ruthless and he’s kept to every promise that he’s made. He said that he was going to make me a fool and he’s done that. He’s made me out to be a joke, a loser, a choker… everything that I thought I wasn’t going to be He’s completely humiliated me…”
She removes the title from around her waist and holds it. She takes a few seconds to look at it, thinking about all of the things that have gone down since she’s won it. Eventually, her eyes snap back up to look at the camera; a certain intensity beginning to linger within them.
WOLFE: “But even in spite of all that, through all the mind games and attacks, I’m still here. I’m the Internet Champion and I’m still standing on my two feet. I’m not ready to give up, no matter what anyone has to say about me. I’m. Not. Going. Anywhere.”
She gives a title a few hard pats as she spoke those words.
WOLFE: “In fact… I’m glad Graham decided to do what he did. I’m glad he attacked me after my match with Cartier. I’m glad he put me up against his latchkey and tried to distract me. I’m glad he made me pass out and tried to attack me even after all of that… because all that did was ignite a side of Lauryn Wolfe that has longed to get out.”
Lauryn glances at the Internet championship once more before raising it high above her head.
WOLFE: “Graham. If you want this title; if you really want to take this championship away from me and prove that you deserve it, you’re gonna have to practically kill me to get it. Because tonight? I assure you, you’re going to be stepping in the ring with a woman whose had enough of your shit. You’re gonna go toe-to-toe with a woman who’s been letting all of her rage bubble within her leading up to this show… and trust me, I have been waiting ever so patiently to get this opportunity to kick your ass and beat you one-on-one.”
She smirks, placing the title on her right shoulder.
WOLFE: “Playtime is over. It’s time for the real thing, and I promise…you’re not ready for this.”
There was something uneasy about the tone of her voice once those last few words left her lips. She gives the camera one last look before she walks off.

HEADLINE
KING’S ROAD INTERNET CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
GRAHAM GOSCH VS. LAURYN WOLFE ©

Graham, with Nora giving him a pep talk in the corner, ignored Lauryn during the introductions and refused to shake her hand after the ring bell. Lauryn shook her head and asked Nora why she’s with a dweeb like this. Graham shot a single leg on Lauryn and took her down quickly while she was talking but she was close to the ropes and got a break. Lauryn asked Graham if that was the game he wanted to play, he nodded. So now Lauryn and Graham circle each other crouched down like collegiate amateur wrestlers. Graham with his hand extended to Lauryn’s forehead trying to anticipate her next move. Lauryn shoots and Graham sprawls quickly using his size advantage to take Lauryn’s back with a transition and lock in a figure four body lock. The crowd isn’t too into the whole amateur RAAWGRAPS style and it shows because it’s fairly quiet for a title match. Graham tries to wear Lauryn down with the body lock, but she tries to keep constant movement to not get stuck and rolls into the ropes for a break. Graham shoves her through the ropes when she tries to get up, she’s not a big fan of that, She responds by using the ropes as a launch pad to hit a forearm and it rockets Graham directly into the referee who falls through the ropes to the apron. Winner: Lauryn Wolfe via Pinfall (12:11)
Lauryn celebrates in the ring, as Graham rolls to the outside. He’s holding his neck, upset that he’s finally lost to Lauryn Wolfe. Lauryn does her best to rub it in, standing inside of the ring as she holds her Internet Championship up high. The crowd cheers for her, another successful defense added under her belt. Graham looks on, defeated, as he backs up towards the locker room. We get one last shot of Lauryn holding her title up high, before we cut to the backstage area.

Backstage we see a man dressed in a mask, standing by. The camera is in a position where the man cannot see it. It appears that the man is holding a metal rod, waiting for something or someone.
JOHNSON: ”Aw damnit! He’s here! I was hoping that tweet from Dave was all made up stuff.”
VASSA: ”Nothing made up about this, it seems! This guy has caused so much havoc recently, and now he’s here.”
JOHNSON: ”Well, it’s obvious what he’s here for! The title match is next!”
VASSA: ”Look, Hudson is watching, okay? He’ll beef up security, and make sure that this match is smooth sailing.”
Before the commentary team can say anything else, the man begins to move. He heads away from the camera, disappearing around a corner.
JOHNSON: ”I hope that he can, Vinny. Because from what I’m seeing this looks like trouble!”
VASSA: ”Well, shit, man! There’s nothing else that can be done now, the main event is here!”

MAIN EVENT
KING’S ROAD CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
KAELAN LAUGHLIN VS. JETT WILDER ©

POWERS: “The following contest is for the King’s Road Championship!!”
The beginning beat for “Warrior” By Dead By April hits over the speakers as Kaelan Laughlin comes slowly walking out from behind the curtain. The fans are mixed in their reaction of Kaelan, she looks around at the crowd as she limps towards the ring. She looks to the ring, doing her best to keep her composure as she heads towards it. Kaelan doesn’t appear to be covered in bandages anymore, but you can definitely tell she’s still hurting. Kaelan takes the steps, heading into the ring as carefully as possible.
POWERS: “Making her way to the ring from Belfast, Northern Ireland… KAELAN LLAAUUGGHHLLIINN!!!”
Kaelan discards her jacket outside of the ring, before stepping through the ropes and entering it. She throws her arms out, facing the crowd as she appears ready for war again. Some people still cheer for her but it’s mostly drowned out by the sound of the boos. Kaelan shrugs it off and walks to the center of the ring ready to do battle as her music fades out.
The lights go dark as the beginning of “Blessings” by Big Sean hits, the crowd murmuring in anticipation for the arrival of Jett. We cut to ringside, where a large portion of the front row audience breaks out a “Wet for Jett” banner. Out from the back dancing and wilding out, is Jett Wilder, holding the King’s Road Championship. Jett dances around the stage, obviously mocking his opponent who could hardly walk. Jett takes a second to hip thrust towards the right side of the stage, as fireworks shoot out towards the crowd. He repeats this action again, this time on the left side, as fireworks again shoot out towards the crowd.
POWERS: “Coming to the ring from Los Angeles, California, weighing in at one hundred and forty-five pounds and standing five feet, eight inches tall! He is the King’s Road Champion, JETT WWIILLDDEERR!!!”
